Ranch residents live in diverse villages

Lakewood Ranch – In the last 12 years, seven villages have sprouted in Lakewood Ranch, containing roughly 6,000 homes.

Summerfield
The first community, located near Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and Clubhouse Drive, features Summerfield Park, which has a pavilion, soccer fields, tennis courts, a tot lot, a butterfly garden, and shuffleboard.
Summerfield has 1,351 homes.

Riverwalk
It was built near the beginning of the Braden River and has lots of wooden areas that are designated preserves. Many of the homes have preserve areas in the backyard. The community has 431 homes.

Edgewater
Lake Uihlein is the main feature of Edgewater, which is located in the Town Hall area. The community has a boardwalk and boat launch in the lake and a private park nearby. Many of the 762 homes have views of man-made Lake Uihlein, which was formerly a shell mining area.

The Country Club
With its main entrance located at University Park and Legacy Boulevard, the Country Club has a formal feel. It features the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club golf course, which is 36 holes. The community also has its own Country Club Park. Country Club includes roughly 1,800 homes on 1,845 acres.

Greenbrook
Greenbrook has Adventure park, Paw Park and Nature Trail. Adventure Park has a tot lot, soccer fields, a roller skating arena and a pavilion. Trails run through Adventure Park and connect to other parks. Located south of State Road 70, Greenbrook has 1,600 residents living on 400 acres.

The Lake Club
The Lake Club, located east of Lorraine Road and north of University Parkway, is a luxury community whose amenities include large lakes and a private clubhouse with a swimming pool, fitness center and day spa for owners and guests. There are 100 homes under construction, but 10 families live there now. Build out is 750 homes on 1,050 acres.

Country Club East
The newest village, under construction east of Lorraine Road and north of Masters Avenue, has 18 holes of golf and is projected to get 18 more. The village will have a clubhouse, featuring a pool area with a tower slide. This 1,000-acre community is privately gated. The projected build-out is 969 homes.
